Maria is a licensed acupuncturist in Pennsylvania and board-certified by the NCCAOM. She earned her Master of Acupuncture from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in Warminster, PA, and her Master of Science from St. Petersburg State University in Russia, where she also conducted research at a marine geology institute and taught middle and high school students before relocating to the United States in 2008.
Maria’s clinical experience includes work with diverse patient populations across a range of settings. She works with patients of all ages, with a particular focus on mental health, digestive issues, pain management, and healthy aging. Drawing on both her science background and her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, she brings a perspective that connects ancient healing traditions with modern research.
One of the most meaningful chapters of her training was serving veterans, marginalized communities, and economically disadvantaged individuals, helping expand access to acupuncture for underserved populations. She believes that acupuncture should be affordable and accessible to all people seeking to improve their well-being.
